Shouldn’t pundits start raving about “white on white” crime right about now? It is Putin slaughtering people who look like him. If this sounds ridiculous that’s because it is. All crime victims, refugees, etc. are worthy of our compassion. None are more human than others, newscasters be damned.

Indeed it seems so convening about we care about these Ukrainians that are dominantly white get the national attention from both liberal and "conservative" channels that treat them as victims of a conflict that isn't much of a slaughter since the country has confidence in their identity and arms.

Yet when it comes to refugees in the middle east, they can be cast as potential terrorists or even doubt we have room for them in our country and other countries nearby.

I have seen some clips and stories that there are actually Africans leaving Ukraine that are stuck in checkpoints to seek asylum. Indeed racism is strong in this narrative even as they don't want to make it that way.
