This infuriates me. Just another example of how women are second class citizens and become merely vessels the minute we become pregnant.

I remember the days before Roe vs. Wade and the tragic consequences of "back alley" abortions during which women suffered immensely. This ban, and the legal support of outsiders to monitor a woman's choice, reminds me of the work of the Stasi in East Germany. Neighbors reporting on neighbors. Is this really an American value? What have we degraded ourselves to?

This is disappointing. Gov Abbott and the GOP are wholly American. They are members of a violent, white supremacist party. They are authentically American. They are more similar to the "founding fathers" of America than most Americans. No need to bogeyman the brown Muslim man in this story, unnecessary and uncalled for. And racist.

I'm extremely disappointed in Texas. I wish it were different, but Texas is acting like the Taliban. No matter what you think of the withdrawal, there are glaring similarities between the Taliban and the ones in power in Texas. Unfortunately the supreme court has sullied itself by supporting such an unamerican law. I can hardly believe it.
