Thank you so much, Dr. El-Sayed! I will share this with everyone I know. We were supposed to visit family in California for Chinese New Year (2/1) but we've decided that our gathering can wait. Your article affirmed the wisdom of that decision.

I have a question, if you don’t mind: As I understand it, for immunocompromised people the vaccine is 3 shots. That would mean that 5 months after the last shot, a booster would be appropriate. Am I understanding this correctly?

I’m very grateful boosters are available for kids now, and that my baby will be 5 next month and finally get her Covid vaccine!

You’re correct re: the definition of full vaccination. But it really should be that way for everyone. A fourth shot still isn’t approved or recommended for anyone at this time, though that may change.
