Ohmygosh. I can’t say I’m surprised to hear this but I will miss your weekly insights into the world of politics and policy. You are a very gifted leader. Many blessings on your journey. Will be keeping an eye on you. When you’re ready to run for office again (President?) we’ll be here to support you.

Too kind of you, Merilynne. Hope, if that comes to pass, I can earn your support.

Congratulations and thank you for serving us in Wayne County. I will miss The Incision but will look for insights from you as time moves on. Indeed you have been and will continue to be a public servant.

You will do amazing things. So very proud of you! Looking forward to joining you in service in a few more years. In the pandemic, I decided to go back to school for public health. I will transfer to CMU next Fall for the BA-MA program. Some days I think I'm too old for this, other days I remind myself why I am doing it. Congrats Abdul!

I will, thank you. I did submit a health promotion project last year for an eye glass program similar to yours in Detroit. I think it would be great to expand that throughout the state to include our rural areas.

Congratulations Abdul! My parents, strong Detroiters had supported you when you decided to run for mayor, I was out there at U-M Diag to hear you give an excellent climate speech with your then 2 yr old daughter and I will continue to follow your path. You bring ethics, transparency, accountability and social justice to us in your various efforts and both your podcast and the Incision have been more recent examples. Grateful for your efforts, best to you in your new role.
